This time around I’ll review the Front Pocket Cork Wallet by Corkor. The last time I did a review of a wallet in this amazing material, was about the STAK wallet. I’m quite fond of this material because it gives the eco-conscious and/or vegan people also a chance to have nice wallets!
Design
The wallet is packaged in a simple white box with black logo. The card holder is wrapped in a kraft paper with a sticker that states “HANDMADE with love”. This totally suits the brand’s ecological mission.
The design of this card holder is very simple and straight-forward. It’s rectangular with card slots in the front and an ID window on the back. Its design reminds me of one of the Garzini models, without the magic wallet feature. It also contains three vertical slots, for other card storage and bills.
The color is also very striking. The blue is somewhat new in cork land, as usually this type of wallets only come in the natural color of cork. It’s an appealing card holder that’s fashionable and on trend.
Quality & Finish
The cork fabric is very supple and is, according to the brand, durable. The stitches look very neatly done, without loose threads.
The only remark I would be having, if I’m very picky, is that the edges aren’t as smoothly finished as some other wallets I reviewed in the past. Especially on the corners in the back, you see some little finishing mistakes.
Also the hole in the ID-window isn’t nicely finished. There are some loose fabric threads in the opening. This is something you don’t see with other brands that use ID windows.
Storage Capacity
This card holder has quite some storage space thanks to the vertical slots. In the front you have three horizontal card slots and one vertical. In this vertical one you can easily store multiple cards. In the middle you have a lined slot primarly designed to contain your bills and receipts.
On the back there’s an ID window with a vertical card slot. So the card holder can contain a minimum of 6 cards and some bills.
Features
The main feature to talk about is the material and color. The material is cork, an eco-friendly material that’s also suitable for vegans. The color is a very bold navy blue that’s very on trend. This wallet can be used with a casual look but can also be used when wearing a navy suit. Very stylish!
Usability
The use of this wallet is very easy. You have the card slot where you can easily put cards in and take cards out. The only problem I have with the card slots are in the front and more in particular the middle one of the horizontal slots. This one isn’t easy to take out because of the first card sitting in front of the second one. It needs some more picking, or you need to remove the first one.
Innovation
The innovative nature of this cork wallet lies in the material, cork! It’s a soft, durable and eco-friendly material. It’s also a material that’s nice when handling the wallet.
Final verdict
This is a very nice wallet, primarly due to the color and the material used. This card holder also has enough space and is very easy in use. If they could manage to resolve the finishing hurdles, this would be an outstanding product.
