In April I encountered the brand, Leather Story, and their Journey Card Wallet on the Kickstarter platform. Although they didn’t reach the final goal, they still decided to launch the product commercially.

So why am I so interested in this Journey Card Wallet? Because it’s one of the Kickstarter projects I was following. The card wallet is interesting because it’s a card holder in which you can store up to 14 cards as well as cash bills. Which is a huge amount considering the dimensions of the wallet: 11 cm (width) x 8.5 cm (height).
The cards can be stored in the card slots on the front and the back (2 separate slots on each side as well as a card slot for combined storage of up to 5 cards). In the middle there is a top insert pocket for cash.

The Kickstarter project was launched on the 18th of April 2017. They only reached 31.5% of their needed funds, but they decided to make and sell the wallet after all.
The wallets are made of a nappa leather in five different colors: black, purple, burgundy, navy and tan. According to their website they use ‘the highest quality fine grain leather’ which they combine with ‘the best stitch work’ so that they can offer their clients ‘a premium quality leather wallet’.

For an additional $10 you can also personalize your wallet, with a message embossed into the leather (maximum 18 characters). You can also choose the leather if you don’t like nappa leather. You can choose from over 100 different leather combinations and create your own wallet.
