As I’m always on the lookout for new and interesting brands, I stumbled upon this one: Wallum! They have some new and interesting products, that distinguish themselves from the competition. For this review I chose the U1 Card Holder Wallet.
Design
The packaging of the U1 Card Holder Wallet is very minimalist and simple: a white box with black outline and text on the front and additional brand information on the back.
The card holder is a U-formed wallet made out of Aircraft-Grade aluminum. The design of the wallet is so simple that there isn’t so much to say about it. If you see it empty, it seems very futuristic and space-like.
Quality & Finish
The U1 wallet is made out of Aircraft-Grade aluminum, so it’s a very high quality material for a wallet. When you hold it in your hand it’s indeed very sturdy and decent. The money clip is made of plastic, which is kind of a pity and cheapens the product a bit. How goodlooking this product would have been if it was totally made in the aluminum! Although I must say the plastic money clip feels very sturdy as well so the product is very qualitative as a whole.
Storage Capacity
The card holder part can hold up to 9 cards, which is a reasonable amount today. The money clip can be used for bills and receipts. As the money clip is attached on the outside, your money will also be on the outside of the wallet.
Features
The feature of this wallet is the high quality of the material used. This aluminum is very qualitative and sturdy! Also the plastic feels very durable to me.
Another feature to mention is the minimalist character of this product. I don’t think a wallet or card holder can be made any simpler than this. The U1 has been reduced to the bare essentials of what a card holder wallet should contain!
Usability
The wallet is very easy to use. You slide your cards in the card holder through the open side of the card holder. Your money can be tucked away under the money clip on the back.

The innovation of the U1 card holder wallet lies in the usage of the high quality material and the utter simple and minimalist design of this wallet.
Final verdict
This is a product I surely recommend! Due to its simple design and usage and the high quality product you get in return, this is a must buy for the guys who look for something new without paying too much. For the fair price of about $50 you get a top product!
