1. SLIDY – HAK

The best slim wallet that fits your needs

The first wallet that I think you should take a look at this month is the SLIDY by HAK. It’s not so much innovative, but it’s an appealing wallet nevertheless. As the makes state it themselves in their Kickstarter project; “The best wallet that saves your time. Suitable. Minimalist. Durable.”

The wallet works with a pull-tab wih which you can extract the cards from the main compartment. On the front of the wallet you’ll find a vertical pocket, named ‘QuickSlide’ that provides access to your favourite card. Simply swipe the card out of the slot. Underneath there’s also a small compartment for notes and tickets.

Slidy is made of a special high-performance fabric that has been used in the navy. The fabric makes the wallet also waterproof. The measurements of the wallet are 6.9 x 9.6 cm. It’s available in three colors: Space Grey, Blue Ocean Storm and Red March Clay.

You can back this product until the 6^th of July with an estimated delivery of December 2017, if the goal is reached. You can find the project here.

2. 3C Carbon Clip – Ögon Designs

The fastest and slimmest wallet

According to the makers, this is the fastest and slimmest wallet. 3C stands for Carbon Card Clip and is a light, slim and small card holder. The card holder gives you the space to store up to 7 cards, receipts and cash, but apparently only one card can be kept safe as well. It’s also equipped with RFID protection, to prevent you from personal data theft. It’s a strong card holder and the material is scratchproof.

The cards are easily slid out thanks to the opening at the top. You actually push the cards out of the clip. You can then choose from the cards by positioning them in a fan shape. Holding the holder upside down or shaking it, doesn’t cause the cards to fall out. Even if there’s a single card inside, the design makes the card(s) stay inside the holder.

The 3C is ultra slim thanks to its clever design and insanely lightweight with only 15gr/0.5 oz. It’s also very strong and durable thanks to the material. It’s engineered with the highest aerospace and motorsport grade quality carbon fiber outside. The card holder is made of three layers: a carbon fiber layer which prevents the cards from bending and breaking, an aluminum foil layer which is the RFID protection layer and a micro fiber velvet layer which prevents your cards from scratches and demagnetization. The carbon fiber gives the 3C also a distinct high-tech and elegant look.

They also have an option to make the wallet trackable. It’s a Bluetooth tracker which means you always have to stay within the 30m range to have a trackable wallet. Ögon has a partnership with TrackR bravo tracker for this technology. It’s an additional feature you have to put on the wallet to function.

This project has reached 54.5% of their funding, and with the 28 days to go, I’m quite sure they will be reaching their goal. Check it out here!

3. Fortress Wallet – Etoro Designs

The most minimalist wallet that carries and protects all your essentials from electronic pickpocketing.

The most minimalist wallet that carries and protects all your essentials from electronic pickpocketing. This ultra slim minimalist RFID protected card holder has 4 card slots. It measures only 8.25 x 10 cm and is made of genuine leather, a combination of horse hide and cow hide.

The creators had a three step system:

Quality: it all starts and ends with the genuine leather. Their desire is to create something that lasts.
Functionality: the holder doesn’t only looks good, it also feels great and serves a great purpose: keeping your identity safe and secure.
Value: the wallet has a stunning minimalist design without the high markup.

As they’re already funded for 102% this project will certainly be funded! With 22 days still to go, there’s still plenty of time to back this project!

4. Q – Q-2

The World’s most Affordable Smart Wallet!

The Q wallet is an ultra-compact and ultra-slim bifold. It comes in two versions: the Q-TRAQ Smart Wallet with Bluetooth tracker by Chipolo and the Q-BLOQ, the RFID-blocking wallet. It holds everything you need, up to 8 cards and some cash. The wallet is made of super durable microfiber leather and is available in five colors: black, red, brown, gray and blue.

The wallet has four card slots on the inside and one easy access slot on the back of the wallet for up to 2 cards and some cash. On the Q-TRAQ you also have a slot on the inside for your Bluetooth tracker. The measurements of the wallet are 9.5 x 7.5 x 0.4 cm

5. Ed – Ed Charly

The Small Minimalist Coin Wallet

This is a simple minimalist coin wallet that carries everything you need.

This is an everyday carry wallet that’s small and minimalist. It comes with a coin compartment at the front and card slots at the back. One of the slots have an opening for quick access to your most used card. The card slots can contain up to 4 cards. Next to all that, there’s also a unique through slot (a slot with openings at the top and the bottom) for cash, so you have easy access to your notes.

The wallet measures 10 x 8 x 1 cm and is made of full grain leather with Saffiano finish or Crazy Horse leather. The Saffiano leather is a highly durable and tough leather which is also scratch and water resistant. The Crazy Horse leather, also called Saddleback, is given an antique look thanks to applying a layer of wax to the surface of the leather; which gives the leather a nice patina. The wallet is lined with an RFID blocking fabric that keeps your cards safe.

As they just launched they’re only funded for 11%. But with 44 days to go, I’m pretty sure this Kickstarter wallet project will reach its goal. Click here to check it out!

Special mention for the World’s First Stone Wallet, a trifold wallet with an outside of 100% natural slate stone, and Telour, the minimalist spinner wallet. Both novelty wallets, but the novelty adds no additional value to the wallet. They are more gadgets than effective upgrades or updates of the wallet.
