The little card holder wallet cross-over
The card sleeve by Bellroy is one of the smallest wallets in their assortment. It measures 103 mm x 71 mm. It’s kind of a mix between a card holder and a wallet.
Design
The Card Sleeve has a contemporary look. They used the same leather for this sleeve as their other products, which gives it a nice touch. I also like the contrasting white stitching with the colour ‘Blue Steel’, which gives this sleeve a modern feel.
The modern look is also enhanced by the oblique card slots on the front and the back of the sleeve.
Quality & finish
The leather used for this card sleeve is, according to Bellroy, is a premium top-grain leather. They will get better with time. I find the feel of the leather rather plastic-like (as already described in earlier reviews).
The finishing of the sleeve is impeccable. The stitching is nice, as well as the card slots and the pull tab have no production flaws.
Storage capacity
The sleeve has three slots: one in the front, one in the back and one main compartment with pull-tab. The compartment in the front is a quick access card slot, which fits 1 to 2 cards. The slot in the back has a wider opening, which makes it more suitable for your folded bills or 1-3 cards.
The main compartment can contain up to 8 cards, which can be elevated by the leather pull-tab. You can also opt to store your folded bills in the main compartment.
Features
The special feature for this Card Sleeve is the pull-tab, used for the middle compartment. It’s very convenient to use when pulling the cards out of the sleeve.
Usability
The Card Sleeve is very easy to use. The product delivers what it’s supposed to do. The slots are nicely reachable.
Innovation
It’s not the most innovative product on the market, although the pull-tab is a nice to have feature to pull out your cards in the main compartment.
Final verdict
This is a very nice card sleeve. Although I find the pricing too high for this kind of product. There are other products on the market that are less expensive and as good as this one. It’s no must-have, but rather a nice-to-have.
