Design
The magic wallet Flap Boy Slim comes in a black box with golden letters saying Jaimie Jacobs, which makes it really luxurious! It’s a bit big for the size of the wallet, it moves around when in the box.
The wallet itself has a nice design. It reminds me of the Garzini and Hunterson wallets I reviewed before. The wallet also has card slots on the front and the back, and carries the magic wallet system on the inside.
Quality & Finish
The Flap Boy Slim magic wallet from Jaimie Jacobs is handmade of genuine premium leather. It’s a very smooth leather without texture. The level of finishing is very strong, I don’t see any flaws on the wallet.
The only exception on this are the straps. Those are very thin and don’t seem very durable. When I compare it to the Hunterson magic wallet that also has the elastic magic wallet straps, I prefer the Hunterson straps. They give me a more secure and sturdy feeling.
Storage Capacity
According to Jaimie Jacobs you can store 10 to 20 cards in the wallet. There are 8 card slots, 3 in the front and the back and two larger ones in the middle. The front slots can easily obtain 2 cards per slot, in the middle the larger card slots can easily take 4 cards.
Your bills and receipts can safely be tucked away in the middle thanks to the magic wallet system. It works very smoothly as expected!
Features
The main feature is the magic wallet system. Not a very common type of wallet, but it’s gaining more and more recognition among wallet fans thanks to brands like Jaimie Jacobs, Hunterson and the premium magic wallets of Garzini.
Another feature is the RFID-protection. Nowadays this is an important feature regarding the digital skimming criminality. Protect your data and get a wallet with RFID!
Usability
The wallet is very easy in use. The cards are easily extracted from the card slots and your money is safely tucked away in the magic wallet system.
Innovation
The innovation of this wallet is the magic wallet system and the positioning of the card slots on the outside of the wallet.
Final verdict
This is a great magic wallet from Jaimie Jacobs, aimed at the more innovative wallet fan. Priced at 89€ for the European market or $59 at Amazon, it’s quite expensive for this type of wallet. Especially the big price difference between the European and American market is surprising!
