Yaiba by A-Slim Review

The classic card holder 2.0!

In August I did a first review of the brand A-Slim, which produces quite some interesting and qualitative products. The previous review I made was the one for the business card holder Tsuki, an interesting card holder for the professional male. This time around I have the opportunity the leather card holder Yaiba. It’s a standard slim card holder that’s available in the A-Slim interesting color range!

Design

The packaging is the A-Slim sleeve in the form of a briefcase in recycled leather. When you open it, the wallet is also protected by a purple sleeve. There’s also some more information in a separate envelope.

The design is quite classic, with two card sleeves on both sides of the card holder. In the middle you also have a separate compartment for additional cards and cash.

The card slots have the interesting design detail of the V-shape on the edge for an easy extraction of the card from the slots. It’s the same clever design detail, that I already discussed in my previous review of the Tsuki card holder.

The sample I received is in the new color Raw Green, a very nice vintage looking leather, similar to the raw tan of the Tsuki card holder. The side stitches are in a brighter green than the other stitches. I must confess I probably would loved it more in the darker green stitches all over, but the neon green stitches give the wallet a modern look and feel to it.

Quality & Finish

The quality and finish of this card holder is again of a very high standard. The edges a really smooth and the stitches are impeccable! It also feels very qualitative when you use it, thanks to the nice leather and the high standard finishes.

Storage Capacity

The card holder can contain 4-8 cards. You have two slots on both sides, and you have a compartment in the middle for the other cards and/or bills.

Features

The main feature are the cards slots on the outside that are really easy to use thanks to the V-shaped design detail.

The leather is another feature that really stands out for me. It’s a really nice premium leather with a vintage feel to it. The color of this leather only enhances this feature. It’s an unusual color for leather goods, but very appealing! A-Slim in particular is very known for their bold color use.

Usability

The card holder is very easy to use. Thanks to the V-shaped incision in the card slots, you can easily extract the cards you need. You don’t have to pulk the cards whenever you quickly need it!

The middle compartment is just an open compartment for your other, less used cards. When you want to take one of these cards, you have to take the bundle out of the compartment to pick the one you need.

Innovation

As with the Tsuki card holder, the innovation here is the V-shape cut out that makes it really easy to extract the cards from this slim wallet.

The other innovation is the color of the vintage leather. It’s an unusual color for this kind of leather that will please some amongst you. It’s no standard color, but if you’re following the latest trends you’ll be hooked on this one!

Final verdict

I’m very in favour of this leather card holder. It’s impeccably finished and of a high quality! If you need a front pocket leather card holder, then you’ll be very interested in this product. The color may not be for everyone, but definitely have a look in our shop to discover all the other colors!
