Slim & quick design in a compact wallet
Dash wallets is a brand I always was on the outlook for. They have interesting products and a young and modern brand image. So, I was very pleased when I received this Dash Slim Wallet 3.0 in the mailbox.
Design
First of all I have to talk about the packaging. On the front it has a very contemporary graphic design with words in different fonts. It’s a cardboard sleeve, so nothing special and fancy but it feels quite sturdy. The flap is closed by a velcro circle, which is a nice added touch. On the back, below the closing flap, there’s also a Dr. Seuss quote, all adding to the coolness of this brand.
Then concerning the design of the product, I must say at first it seems very plain. When you examine the product more closely it has some fine design details. On the front you have a tilted vertical pocket, accompanied by an embossed logo. The main compartment is as big as the card holder and has a velvet inside. On the back there’s a tilted horizontal cash slot.
The design of this Slim Wallet 3.0 is also enhanced by the structure that is given to the material. It’s some sort of cross-lined pattern that’s very contemporary and modern. It’s kind of a modern interpretation of the typical leather structure. Very nice!
Quality & Finish
The Slim Wallet 3.0 has a real impeccable finish. No loose stitches and smooth sides. The material is a durable construction with an ultra slim modern vegan canvas. It doesn’t feel like leather, more like a synthetic fabric. The structure on the fabric is nice and add to the level of quality.
The only downside of the card holder was a strong chemic smell when opening the packaging, similar to glue. After a few days the smell diminished and now it’s gone.
Storage Capacity
The card holder can hold 1 to 2 cards in the front compartment and 8-10 in the middle compartment. The first time I used it, it could only hold like 5 cards. But it requires a break-in period of about a week before you reach the maximum of 10 cards.
The back compartment can hold a decent amount of bills, which you have to double fold twice. The more bills you stack in there, the bulkier it get off course!
Features
The features to highlight for this slim wallet is the vertical easy access compartment in the front of the card holder. This is indeed a very easy to use card slot from which you easily can extract your frequently used cards.
The second feature I want to discuss is the cash slot in the back. Although the money sticks out, it’s also easy to use. It’s marked with the word ‘CASH’ so there can’t be any confusion about that!
Usability
This card holder 3.0 is very easy to use. Three slots, one for easy access in the front, one middle compartment and a cash slot in the back. The cards in the middle compartment have to be taken out completely before you can choose the card you want to use.
Innovation
The innovation of this wallet is the front card slot. The design and the position of the card slot is innovative. It’s easy to use and a nice feature for this wallet.
Final verdict
So, this wallet is for the guy who has quite some cards, with a maximum of 12 cards, and also wants to carry some cash in the meantime. The wallet is slim and minimal, but in the same time has some rich design details. The Slim Wallet 3.0 can also easily be carried in your front pocket. Overall I’m very pleased with this wallet.
