The wallet that only needs your thumb!
This plastic card holder is a Swedish invention designed to keep your cards safe and easy to use. As suggested by the name, the thumb is required to use to navigate through your cards.
Design
The packaging is a simple cardboard box with a plastic sleeve. On the back you have some additional information.
The design of the plastic card holder is very simple and minimalistic. It’s a rectangle with an opening in the middle to slide your cards out of the holder. On one of the sides you’ll see a tab which holds the cards inside the holder when not used.
Quality & Finish
The card holder seems rather sturdy. It’s made of a synthetic material, some kind of plastic, which also makes it less high-end, although the material is of a good quality.
The sound that the holder makes when put on a table, f.e., is that of a hard plastic toy, which diminishes the quality feeling of the product.
Storage Capacity
The plastic wallet can hold up to 8 cards. This is a reasonable amount for this kind of card holders.
Features
The holder doesn’t have much features. It can contain cards and can be slid out with your thumb.
Usability
The wallet is very easy to use when you get how the system works. First you have to press the card away from the safety clip, then you have to slide the card upwards out of the plastic card holder.
Although when using it, I found it very elaborate when you needed the third card in your wallet, as you can only slide up the two cards on the outside, it can be some work to get the right card.
Innovation
The true innovation of this wallet is the system you use to extract the cards from the wallet. Using your thumb is normally only used for quick access card slots which contain one card.
Final verdict
This is a good card holder for not so frequently used cards. If you uses this card holder on a daily basis, you have to take into account that you need to store the cards you regularly need on the outside of the holder.
